The much acclaimed Newton Bushel Morris are a Cotswold side formed in 1972 and based in Kingskerswell. In March 2009 we were very proud to become a mixed side and ladies are now more than welcome to join us.

Our dancers are currently aged between fairly youngish and somewhat over 60. We are now recruiting new members aged 16 or over, and we would love to see more women dancing the Morris. So, whatever your level of fitness or however many left feet you think you have, if you would like to maintain English cultural traditions, and also relish ready wit and repartee, a tankard of fine ale (or coke) and a song or two, then join us! We meet every Thursday at 8pm
During the summer season (May ‘till September) we dance out at fine ale houses around Torquay, Newton Abbot, South East Dartmoor and the local environs. We also perform at various festivals, events and celebrations.
We always dance out on Boxing Day.
During the winter months (October ‘till April) we practice at Kingskerswell
Scout Hall.
Our kit comprises black breeches, white shirts and socks, blue neckerchief, and blue and yellow baldricks, arm ribbons and the ubiquitous bells.

Our Next Outs
Wednesday 16th December 8.00pm Newton Abbot late night shopping. We will be dancing by St Leonard's Tower.
Saturday 26th December (Boxing Day derr,,) Lunchtime venue to be confirmed.
From Thursday 1st October We have been practising every Thursday at 8.00pm at the Scout Hut in Dobbins Arch Kingskerswell. Why not come and join us?
